DOMESTIC VIOLENCE 2 Domestic Violence Nearly 1 in 10 women in the United States experience domestic violence within their homes; but the question is not how can we stop it, but why does it happen? Finding out the what causes spousal violence, will likely lead us to the answer of how to prevent it from happening. In using latent class analysis and logistic regression techniques we can find the distinct patterns of male or female domination. Studying two separate articles ââ¬Å"Bringing Home the Baconâ⬠and ââ¬Å"Gender, Work and Inmate Violenceâ⬠, I was able to integrate their findings to ask a new question. In one article, ââ¬Å"When She Brings Home the Bacon: Labor-Force Participation and the Risk of Spousal Violence Against Womenâ⬠, the two creditors of the journal named Ross MacMillan and Rosemary Gartner, utilized one important aspect to conduct their study.
